Find famous historical people, identify who they are and what significance they had in history. Look at familiar and rare photos of historical figures. Perfect for Social Studies extra curriculum activity.

Lesson Plan:

Step 1: Go to create a collection of famous people. Cover the people recently mentioned in classes for best results.

Step 2: Play slideshow and have the student identify the people in the photo. You can first go through the slideshow together and then repeat for the student.

Just learned about another historical figure? Awesome! We may have their photo because it’s Public Domain. So search and you’ll find a variety of content related to that person. Try such terms as Declaration of Independence, or the Drawings of DaVinchi.
